Liquitex Modeling Paste is a thick, clay-like putty formulated with an acrylic polymer base and marble dust. Use alone or combine with acrylic colors to build forms and structures on rigid substrates. Liquitex Modeling Paste dries to a matte, opaque finish that’s as hard as stone. Once dry, it readily accepts acrylics, oils, watercolors, and dry pastels and can be sanded, drilled, or carved.
To use as a ground, apply a thin layer, allow to dry, and sand if needed. For a more absorbent ground, combine with acrylic gesso in a 1:3-part ratio, allow to dry, and sand if needed.
